On September 9, 2024, the first-ever Wuxi University International Ambassador (WUGA) Appointment Ceremony was successfully held in Conference Room 501 of the Administrative Building.

The Wuxi University International Ambassador Program aims to select a group of outstanding students with excellent comprehensive qualities, strong cross-cultural communication abilities, international perspectives, and leadership skills. The ambassadors will assist the College in efficiently and effectively managing international student affairs, enhancing cross-cultural exchanges both on and off campus, and improving the internationalization of the university. Ultimately, the program seeks to boost the university's influence in international education.

After rigorous selection through written exams, interviews, and role-playing exercises, seven students were appointed as the first group of Campus International Ambassadors. These ambassadors come from China, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Egypt, and Uzbekistan.

The ceremony opened with enthusiastic applause. Wang Yong, the Dean of the College of International Students, expressed high expectations for the program. He encouraged the ambassadors to leverage their strengths, actively fulfill their responsibilities, and contribute to the university's international education efforts. Following this, Dean Wang presented the appointment letters to the ambassadors.

After the appointment ceremony, the ambassadors participated in a comprehensive training program, which included an overview of the program, introduction to management policies and procedures, and cross-cultural communication training.

With the successful conclusion of both the appointment ceremony and training activities, the Wuxi University International Ambassadors(WUGA) confidently embarked on their new journey. As representatives of the College, they will promote the voice of Wuxi Institute of Technology globally, continuously enhancing the university’s international presence.
