Wuxi, abbreviated as "Xi", was called Liangxi and Jinkui in ancient times. It is a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. It is one of the central cities in the Yangtze River Delta and an important scenic tourism city approved by the State Council. It is an important part of Suzhou-Wuxi- Changzhou metropolitan area.
