The International Students Education in Wuxi University started in October 2018. TheCollege of InternationalStudents in Wuxi University is guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, responds positively to the Chinese opening-up education policy and the "Belt and Road" initiative, makes incessant efforts to strengthen the development of international education and the competency ofuniversityrunning in close conjunction with the goal of "First-Class Applied University" and the international talent training task.

The College of International Studentsis building upon the professional advantages from Wuxi University. With the continuous improvement of talent development system for international students in China,CIS has about 300 international students from nearly 30 countries around the world.Thefour-yearundergraduate educationcourse contains three subjects: International Economics and Trade, Computer Science and Technology, and Electronic Information Engineering with all-English teaching. The students in two-yearvocational college-upgraded education attend almost 8 subjects including International Economics and Trade, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Digital Media, Machinery Manufacturing and Automation, Electronic Information Engineering, E-Commerce, and Logistics Management.

Starting fromimproving teachingabilities of the faculty and strengthening the construction of mass organizations for international students and optimizing the auxiliary software and hardware facilities for international students, theCollegeofInternationalStudentshas cooperated with the Academic Affairs Office and relatedinstitutesto strengthen thefacultyforinternational students, to deepen the connotative development of talent training for international students and realize the professional, scientific, standardized and institutionalized education for international students.

Based on the goal of talent training for international students,theCollegeofInternationalStudentspromotes the convergence of teaching, management and services for Chinese and foreign students, and makes full use of the management model, ideas and unique experienceofChinese students educationto promote the international education management, and integrate the education of international students into the education of the wholeuniversity. In the quality assurance system, equal and consistent teaching resources and management services are provided to help international students adapt to cross-cultural study and life, encourage international students to fully integrate into the Chinese student group, and protect the cultural exchanges and legitimate rights of Chinese and foreign students.

TheCollegeofInternationalStudentswill continue to recruit foreign students with academic qualifications from countries along the “Belt and Road”, and continuously enrich and improve various forms of international student recruitment and training management mechanisms in accordance with the spirit and policies of relevant documents. TheCollegeofInternationalStudents willbroaden the enrollment channels for international students in China, further improve the enrollment, teaching and examination standardstoensure the source of students and the quality of training, improve the management and service level, and contribute toThe“BeltandRoad” strategy.
