On the evening of October 14, 2024, the College of International Students held a grand welcome party at the Library Auditorium to warmly greet the new international students joining Wuxi University for the 2024 academic year.

Since 2018, the College of International Students has actively organized welcome parties for each new Batch. From planning and rehearsals to the "passing on of knowledge and skills" between senior and new students, the college has ensured full engagement and collaboration with Chinese student volunteers. This reflects the college’s management philosophy of convergence and its enthusiastic, friendly cross-cultural communication environment.

The event kicked off with a spectacular performance of traditional Chinese dance. Following the performance, Dean Wang Yong of the College of International Students delivered an inspiring speech, warmly welcoming the new students and encouraging them to pursue excellence in their studies and life at the university. Dean Wang also personally presented the students with university badges and awarded the first-ever Campus International Ambassadors at Wuxi University with their plaques.

New students from Zimbabwe, Morocco, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Liberia, and other countries presented vibrant dance and rap performances, showcasing their unique cultural charm and lifting the atmosphere to a new high. After a series of fun interactive games, the evening concluded with a warm group photo, marking the end of a successful event.

This welcome party was not just an event, but a new beginning. The College of International Students will continue to focus on cultivating talent with a global perspective, supporting the comprehensive development of students and contributing to the internationalization of the campus.
